Don Isidro rum is a tribute to Mr. Isidro Bordas, who established Isidro Bordas SA in 1935. As true Dominican rum, it is distilled from sugar cane grown in the Dominican Republic and aged in Santiago, Dominican Republic , in ex-bourbon casks that are pre-treated. This allows Ron Don Isidro to carry the denomination of origin “DOMINICAN RUM”.

This rum comes from a single cask (unblended) that has been aged for 8 years, down to the last drop. Due to the climate, spirits age about three times faster in the Dominican Republic, meaning that eight years is a lot longer than other spirits.

After taking it out of the barrel, the rum is finished with an exclusive process that has been passed down from generation to generation to improve its taste and aroma on the palate. No sugar, caramel or color is directly added to the rum. Its rich brown and reddish color is completely natural and comes from wood.
