BST Syrah & Merlot Toscana IGT 2021 has the designation “Baby Super Tuscan“. Unlike their Super Tuscan “Senior” cousins, they are raised exclusively in stainless steel. This technique makes these wines pleasant and fresh. They are thus characterized by fruity notes as well as a pleasant sweet taste.

Producer

The Folonari estates embody the excellence of Tuscany, an expression of the territories most suitable for wine production: Chianti Classico, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bolgheri and Montecucco in Maremma.

Winemaking

To begin with, these grapes are of course harvested when they reach perfect maturity. Then, the fermentation continues at 28°C and the maceration on the skins then takes place in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the maturation is always in stainless steel tanks. This is effectively characterized by very frequent but also oxygenating decantations.

Dress

The robe of this BST Syrah & Merlot is deep red with slightly purplish reflections.

Nose

Its nose offers scents of cinnamon, black pepper, red fruits but also currant and plum.

Stuffy

On the palate, this wine is pleasantly fluid. In addition, it has a body and a fragrant structure. To finish, a slight leaching of the tannins is present in order to underline the pleasant youth.

Ideal for happy hour, original and surprising with Neapolitan pizza with Mediterranean seasonings, charcuterie, finger food and street food.
